Sun Devil Awards Banquet Recap

A Night to Remember

It was a night dedicated to celebrating Sun Devil Football’s senior class, but it turned into a reminder of what makes Sun Devil Nation so special and a beacon of hope heading into a new regime headed by Coach Kenny Dillingham.

Each banquet is always underscored by the generosity of donors such as Jay Blegen and Kent Bro who every year donate custom suits for each senior to send them off in style. This year was no different as the 13 seniors who were honored were able to show off their custom-tailored suits, each one containing their own personalized elements, to the large crowd.

As in years past the program was centered around honoring the Seniors, but this group was lauded especially for their commitment in the face of adversity.

Following dinner, the Captains awards were distributed, a live ask saw Sun Devil Nation raise over $60,000 in support of student-athletes and then before what would have normally been some final remarks, Kenny took the stage.

New Head Coach and valley native Kenny Dillingham paid his respects to the outgoing seniors and made his intentions of revitalizing Sun Devil Football abundantly clear. He energized the crowd and ended a great night of celebration and philanthropy on the highest possible note.

The banquet will be back next year, new set of seniors, new set of circumstances surrounding the season, but the one constant through it all is the support. Thanks to all who came out and supported at this year’s banquet. Due to your generosity and philanthropic support, we were able to raise north of $100,000 for our student-athletes in one night.
